Weird as it is working for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, Evie's always thought of herself as normal. Sure, her best friend is a mermaid, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she's falling for a shape-shifter, and she's the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours, but still. Normal.
Only now paranormals are dying, and Evie's dreams are filled with haunting voices and mysterious prophecies. She soon realizes that there may be a link between her abilities and the sudden rash of deaths. Not only that, but she may very well be the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.
I loved, loved, LOVED this book! I enjoyed it so much because I love paranormal books, but I was getting tired of the same thing going on in most of them. Paranormalcy was so different than all the other paranormal books out there, it was very original. The story is about a girl, Evie, who can see through paranormals' glamours and works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency. But, paranormals are now dying and the IPCA doesn't know why. Evie wonders if she is the cause of these deaths, even though she always thought she was normal. Wow, that was a terrible summary on my part, but I think from the real summary, you get what this book is about! This book is amazing, and I doubt anyone can not love this book.
Plot- I loved the plot in this book! Every chapter was filled with exciting events, and there was never a slow moment in the plot. As soon I as I started reading this book, I was sucked into the world of Evie, and interested by the International Paranormal Containment Agency. I expected this book to be dark and mysterious, but it was such a light, funny read and I truly loved it. I loved everything about it: Tasey, Lend, and all the thrilling events. I really wanted to finish it as soon as I started reading it, and readers will not be disappointed by the plot.
Characters- The characters were great. They were all very interesting, and Kiersten did a good job on developing them, and I loved every moment with a character. They were all funny, and I loved reading about them during the story.
Favorite Character- Of course, I have to pick Lend. I loved him from the start, and this just continues my trend of picking the boy for my favorite character of each story.
Least Favorite Character- Hm, this is a tough pick. I really didn't have a least favorite since they all contributed to the story well. Wow, this is a first. I've always had a least favorite character!
Writing- Great writing by Kiersten White! I can't believe this is her first novel, it was amazing. I love how she writes, it was very funny and interesting. I can't wait to read more from Kiersten, and especially the sequel to this book, Supernaturally.
Cover- The cover is really pretty! I wish it coincided with the story a little bit better, but when I think about it, it would be pretty hard to make a cover for this book. The cover made me think this book was dark, but after reading it, I found out it wasn't. Beautiful cover!
Overall, if you couldn't tell, I loved this book! I'm sad that I didn't read it sooner, but glad now that I did! I can't wait for Supernaturally, I want to find out more about what happens! I recommend this to everyone, because you will definitely enjoy it.
