Friday Blog Hops 7/1!

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee, and this week's question is:

Q: ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation.

My favorite book/movie characters would have to be either Robert Pattinson, who played Edward Cullen in Twilight, or Taylor Lautner, who played Jacob Black in Twilight.

Their both really cute, and I'd probably scream and jump up and down if I ever saw them. I know, that's a little crazy of me, but really, it's Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner!

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted over at Crazy-for-Books. Here's this week's question:

"What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and  what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?"

What keeps me reading beyond the first few pages of a book is if a story plot is exciting and makes me want to read further and find out what happens. Also, when the characters are intriguing and I can relate and connect with them, I am able to keep reading.

When there are boring characters or a really slow start to book that has no captivating events happening, I would probably stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf. This happens very rarely though, since I usually wait out to see what happens further in the story.

TGIF is hosted by Ginger at GReads! This Friday's question is:

Mr & Mrs: Who are your favorite book couples?

Hm, this is a really good question since there are so many. I'm going to do a few of the couples that were in books that I recently read that I liked.

1. Lena & Ethan from Beautiful Creatures- They have such a cute connection with one another and they care for eachother a lot.

2. Luce & Daniel from Fallen- Wow, I recently read this book, and the relationship between them is pretty strong!

3. Belly & Conrad in The Summer I Turned Pretty- I loved their relationship, it was so cute. Belly loved Conrad ever since she could remember, it's just meant to be.

4. Bella & Edward from Twilight- Okay, I'm not being very original because tons of people love them together, but I definitely think this was one of my favorite couples from books. I don't think I need to explain why...

So, those are the first four couples that popped into my head, but there are probably tons more that I'm just not thinking of! Great question, I love a good romance in my books!

  1. I choose Taylor Lautner too! Don't be a stranger; stop by and say hi!

P.s. I'm now following your blog.

  2. Ah, it'd be nice to meet them two...
Can I add Dimitri and Rose from Vampire Academy and Lucy and Nicholas from The Drake Chronicles! :D
    Have a great weekend! :)

  3. Hi Kristen! I'm just popping in via the hop to say hi and have a great weekend! I probably would have a complete fan girl moment if I saw either Robert or Taylor as well, so you're not alone there:) Glad to be a new follower here!

    Jenny @ Supernatural Snark

  4. @Maia I checked out your blog, and followed! Thanks for stopping by!

    @TheBookAddictedGirl Thanks for stopping by!

@Jenny Thanks for following, I'll go check out your blog right now!

  5. I don't know why I keep reading a book. It's not the story. It's not the characters. I really don't know!

I'm hopping by to tell you that I've got a wonderful giveaway going on at my blog, Readerbuzz. It's international! During the Readerbuzz July Giveaway I'll be giving away a $25 Amazon gift card! I'd love to have you stop in and throw your name in the hat to win!

  6. YAY! Found someone who agrees with me. You go girl!

    Here's mine:

  7. Just stopping in to say Hi! Good pick for your FF!! Love it! Great pictures too!

    New Follower!
    Here is my pick!

  8. P.S. The True Blood show sucks after season 3. :) Read the books first because the TV series strays WAY away from it...and it gets campy...really fast. Alan Ball ruined that show...but I love Charlaine Harris. ALL of her different series/books are fantastic!

  9. @StuckinBooks Yay! Robert Pattinson is such a great choice!

@Em I definitely want to read the series, and thanks for the advice!

  10. Good choices - I'm not sure I would even be able to speak if I met Robert or Taylor!

    Have a great weekend :)

  11. @Hannah Mariska Thanks for stopping by!

  12. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I would so freak out if I saw Robert Pattinson or Taylor in person. And yay! Glad to see Daniel & Luce on your list. They're one of my favorite couples. :)

    New follower here!

  13. @Jennie Thank you! I know, I love Daniel and Luce!

  14. I didn't watch the Twilight movie, but I agree that I'd freak out if Taylor Laughter dropped by my house! He's a famous movie star after all... and hot.

Thanks for dropping by for my Follow Friday post! Cute blog. I'm a new follower :)

    Kris @Imaginary Reads

  15. @Kris He is very hot! Thanks for following!

  16. These book blogger hop questions just get better and better. This one looks easy but I think it’s a trick question. We all know it’s the same answer – the writing – but we all have different perspectives of what good writing is.

Hop on over to my blog at and read my three-prong answer as I explain why I’ll decide to pick up a book or put it down in under sixty seconds.

    Happy July 4th Weekend!

    Howard Sherman, Implementor

  17. Happy Follow Friday! I'm a new follower - please check out my blog! Steph @

  18. You picked some pretty awesome couples to love! I will have to agree with ALL of them :)

  19. Thanks for stopping by my blog & following! Great choices for couples in books! I love Beautiful Creatures & the Fallen series!

    Have a great Holiday weekend!

  20. I would have such a fangirl moment if the boys from Twilight showed up on my doorstep. Seriously, Taylor wouldn't even know what hit him. LOL

Stopping by to say hey too!

    ♥ Trish

  21. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm such a fangirl, too. I wouldn't ever want to actually meet someone famous because I'm pretty sure I'd do something embarrassing.
    Have a good weekend!

  22. Mmm I love your pick for Follow Friday!

Yes, boring characters make it hard to read a book.

Bella and Edward.. yes :o) Of course!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
    Mickey @ imabookshark

  23. I can agree with Taylor, but I've just never been a Pattinson fan! Lol. ;)

I'm a new follower! Have a great weekend. :) My FF can be found here!

    Rebecca @ kindle fever

  24. Thanks for following. I'm following you too.

    Have a great weekend!

  25. Old follower here as well. I don't know if I'd scream if those two walked in a room, I'd probably stand there with an idiotic grin on my face and start blushing! I'm with you on the needing to relate to characters in a book. I have trouble with some "romance" books because as a single woman I don't want to read about a married woman having trouble with a husband, because I have no experience with that yet. But that's just me. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  26. Luce and Daniel are a good choice! Thanks for stopping by my blog! New follower!

  27. @sch_94 I will definitely go check it out! Thanks for stopping by & following!

@Katelyn They are pretty awesome, aren't they? :)

@SJune Thanks for stopping by my blog also!

@Trish You and me both! You just have to love them!

@kathy That's true, I probably would embarrass myself, if I ever met a celebrity!

@Mickey Thanks for visiting my blog!

    @bex That's okay, I love Taylor also!

@Vicki Your welcome and thanks for following my blog!

@Lisa Your welcome and thank YOU for stopping by my blog! Very true, I just need to relate with a character!

    @Somer Thank you!!

  28. Hi, Kristen! Old follower stopping by :)

I love your choices for your fave movie/book person! I'm not exactly the biggest fan of the movies, but I adored the books!

And your couple choices are great! Love Lena and Ethan in Beautiful Creatures :)

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

  29. @Mimi Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend also!

  30. Thanks for hopping by my blog this past week! Love the layout, colors, and font on yours!!!

Edward Cullen is definitely one of my favorite literary characters! I might just swoon if I saw him walking towards me!

    Have a good weekend!

  31. @Brooke Your welcome and thank you!! We all just have to love Edward Cullen, we just have to!

  32. Great picks! Love the Rob pic. He looked gorgeous in Cannes ;)

I've got the Castor Chronicles on my bookshelf. Can't wait to read them!

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

  33. @Lisa Thanks for stopping by! You definitely have to read the Caster chronicles, it is such great series!

  35. Hopping through. I hope I could be cool if Edward/Robert walked in the room...but I'd probably faint. :-)
    My Hop

  36. Hopping by! Good picks, though I think I would rather hang out with the real guys rather than the characters they play. Both Rob and Taylor seem pretty fun and after getting over the shock of meeting them, it would be cool to hang out and see how truly goofy they are. Thanks for stopping by my blog! New follower. ^_^

    ~Shalena @ Writer Quirk

  37. Thanks everyone for stopping by!!

  38. Stopping by via Crazy-For-Book's Blog Hop. I'm following your blog.

I'm having a giveaway on my blog this weekend so please stop by!

  39. I think Rob would be pretty easy to spot mainly due to his hair. ;)

I love reading comments and I do read each and every one of them! Thank you for commenting on my post!
